Background: Following the global trend, in the Netherlands many people are overweight and prone to chronic diseases, such as diabetes. Accordingly, NISB developed the BeweegKuur (BK, “Activity Course”). People who are overweight are assigned a lifestyle coach, for one year, which offers support for self-management (i.e., diet, activity and sport).
